Heat exchanger with floating head
Heat exchanger shell and tube heat exchangers with floating head are widely used for tasks with a large temperature difference between working media in oil, petrochemical, chemical, gas and other industries. The main difference between such a device is the presence of a compensator for temperature expansion in the form of a so-called “floating head”.
Description and design
The heat exchanger consists of a bundle of heat exchange tubes fixed in tube sheets, a casing, chambers, covers, fittings and supports. One of the tube sheets is movable and, together with its own chamber, forms a "floating head". The design of heat exchangers, testing and control of manufacturing stages are carried out in accordance with the requirements and standards of PED, ASME, GOST or according to individual technical projects, taking into account the specific operating conditions and customer requirements.
